Percussionist, composer, producer, bandleader, educator Pablo Batista brings 30 years experience at the highest levels of the in the music industry. One of very few artists to perform on Grammy-winning recordings in jazz, rhythm and blues and gospel, Pablo has also been a guest of the Philadelphia Orchestra Percussion Ensemble. Significantly, Pablo has also been a dedicated student of Afro-Cuban music and folklore for decades, and has traveled to Cuba numerous times to study at the source.

Pablo has for years taught low-income students at schools and community centers in North Philadelphia, and given master classes to students at Curtis Institute.  Having served as instructor and mentor to many younger students of traditional and contemporary percussion styles, Pablo brings his knowledge, experience and musical wisdom to presentations geared appropriately to school, university and conservatory audiences.

He has also held artist residencies, lectured and presented workshops and master classes at The Kimmel Center, Temple University/Boyer College of Music & Dance, Curtis Institute, as well as public and charter schools in Philadelphia.

Evening performances can be combined with artist residencies and daytime workshops and master classes.
